Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course in Pittsford, New York, is a monument to championship golf. Originally designed by the legendary Donald Ross and opened in 1925, the course is famous for its dense corridors of oaks—thousands of which were planted by early member Dr. John Williams. The layout underwent significant renovations over the decades, notably by Robert Trent Jones and later Tom Fazio, to toughen it for modern play. However, a 2019 restoration by Andrew Green successfully returned the course to its Ross roots, restoring original green shapes and removing hundreds of trees
