From its early beginnings in 1879, golf has endured and thrived as a sport at the Club, and in 2011, the course still ranks among the top 50 courses in Canada as rated by SCORE magazine and is one of 2011 Ontario Golf Magazine's Top 100 Courses. From its original design by Stanley and Nichol Thompson, to the more recent renovations incorporated by Graham Cooke, the course remains a solid test of golf placing a premium on accuracy and shot making, rather than pure power and distance off the tee.
